Here are pictures from my student SAF chapter's 2008 National Convention trip. This year it was in nondescript Reno which was somewhat disappointing. We redeemed ourselves and our trip however by taking a small voyage around Lake Tahoe and then onwards to Sacramento. The majority of my pictures are from the Lake Tahoe region.

Yo. We're in Carson City NV. I'm at the library and they have me on a clock so I must be brief. What a ride. We climbed a 8574 ft peak through a bit of a snowstorm. For real. The roads were dry but it was hella cold and the wind was ripping around 30 to 40 mph near the top. The ride however was amazing. The coolest thing we've ever done. I can't post pictures at this library unfortunately. I'll

Today we completed Lake Tahoe on CA side so we drove counterclockwise around the lake. We started our day by searching for food. We drove back to Lake Tahoe from carson city NV. After passing several spots we thought we may be able to find food but most of them turned out to just lodges and resorts. We finally got our breakfast at a small restaurant on CA side named the old post office because

Lake Tahoe is a beautiful area with tall mountains green trees and a huge lake. The lake is colored a soothing bluegreen and stretched as far as we could see. We arrived at Lake Tahoe in the midafternoon in a good mood from the awesome scenery and were even more excited to find that our hotel was also a resortcasino chaching. With this said we knew we were going to be in for more fun g

Sometimes people are drawn to different things...whether it be a beautiful person a good book a stiff drink or a certain place. For me it always has been...and likely always will be the opportunity for outdoor adventures. Over the course of five days in July I had the opportunity to live like a king...play like a child...and savor the moment like I haven't done in a long time. If you've never

After finally leaving California on May 30 we drove to Lake Tahoe. On the way we stopped at a rest area for lunch where I proceeded to make roast beef sandwiches while Alan was cleaning the windshield. Ironically two cattlehaulers pulled in and parked on either side of us. The cattle were mooing loudly and smelled a lot We closed the windows ate quickly and left in a hurry Dan flew to

I have been so excited and haven't been able to sleep much the last couple days. I keep thinking of things that we are going to do and how much fun we are going to have that I wake up and my mind starts racing. Not racing bad but racing in a good way. I
