What an incredible day I'm soooo glad that we decided to do BOTH tours one each in Scotland and Ireland. it was a long day but very worthwhile. We left about 530 am and had to take a charter bus to Belfast then transfer to our paddywagon tour guide. It was a long ride to our first destination which was the rope bridge in the Causeway area. Warren was the brave one while I snapped pics. Bye the

Was pretty bad weather and as we came in the land the plane was going from side to side Andrew was already going green and sweaty so the pilot's sudden and unannounced decision to pull up and head straig

The beginning of the week has been good so far. Teaching class Monday morning was very good I let the kids play 5on5 for the first time and they actually did a great job. The week before I tried to teach them the concept of screening and they had a tough time tackling the idea of it. So i finally got the chance to give homework to the students and it felt great guess what the homework was I

Our second game of the season got off to a rough start. As a team we came out a little sluggish and DCU took advantage of that and pulled out to a quick lead. I got in early foul trouble again and got two fouls in the first quarter they wont cut me any slack over here guess I am to physical ha..We cut the lead to about 15 points but never got closer than that. It was a frustrating defeat becau

We went through several small villages along the way. One village named Cushendall is the heart of an annual glens festival 1st week in August. They also have ldquohurlingrdquo games here quite frequently. Another village known as Lockarema the vanis

Hello everyone Had a very good weekend. Thursday night was a lot of fun. We celebrated 250 years of Guinness which was a blast. Pretty cool I got to be in Ireland for that day. We had media night before we went out. My coach Ian O'Boyle Gareth and I all had a press conference which went well. You can see the press conference on you tube. If you type in Ulster Elks Media night it should come up.

Today it was time for another long run in my marathon training schedule. I woke up around 730 and was planning on doing the first part of my run with a few chippies I met at the hostel who also were thinking of going for a run. I went they bailed. In total I ran 16 miles and covered pretty much all parts of Belfast. I started out by going through the Botanic Gardens to the River Lagan up along

This morning I departed Dublin by bus and headed to Belfast. Belfast is about 2 hours north of Dublin and it is the capital of Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland is located on the same island as the Republic of Ireland but is actually a part of the United Kingdom whereas the Republic is a separate country. This distinction and that of the religious differences the Republic is generally Catholi

Toronto Canada

In all likelihood my final blog entry. I may try and compile some facts and figures about my trip but the longer I wait to do this and especially once I get back to work the less likely that becomes. The final stop of my trip was Toronto while not exactly counting as part of my South American Adventure it would be an incomplete blog of the trip if I didnt write about the 10 days I spent there.
