Perhaps you would like a little rain with that beach Or a small sunburn and the path less traveled with that fall excursion

I begin back with some late summer and early fall travels. My seeing a new state and somewhat faroff literary landmarks are at a pause for now but I have been to the following since August Hilton Head Island Savannah the Virginia Highlands in Atlanta the Florida Panhandle and Mobile Alabama plus another location of the music store chain that I briefly worked for during their busy season.
Mobile and Dauphin Island 7th8th OctoberWe arrived in Mobile pronounced Mobeel a little after 4pm and headed towards the tourist information centre to get our bearings of local area. Mobile rests about 150 miles East of New Orleans on the Gulf Coast and we decided it would be a nice stop prior to heading to New Orleans itself. Upon arrival Mobile looked very much like an industrial city wit

After we packed our gear in the truck and took a second look at our checklist Nate and I were on the road eager to get out of the city. We wanted to get to Tuscaloosa AL by midafternoon to visit one of my best friends from high school at the University of Alabama. Alabama's scenery was very relaxed with long rounded hills and mountains. We decided to stop at the University of Alabama to see

More Sailboat Racing

Oct 15 Day 6Today we were able to get a ride on a spectator boat to watch the racing up close. The racers had a good wind and that made for a rough ride in the power boat we were in. I can hardly wait to get back on a sail boat. There was lots of excitement on the starting line as you can see from the photos. When you have 30 boats starting it can get a little nuts. After the 3 races were done

Oct 11 Day 2We found the Green Turtle Marina after driving around Grand Rivers Kentucky for a while. We spent most of the day raising the mast and launching Amber Lee. The marina office is on a floating dock. We have a slip 20 feet from the office lounge area and shower facilities. We have already met a number of cruisers. Everyone is very friendly want to know where you came from where you

Alabama is...interesting. We drove through on our way to Georgia. We stopped in Birmingham to grab a bite to eat. It's pretty much like your average city. The food was good and the people were friendly. I'd stop there again if I was traveling somewhere where Birmingham was on the way. The traffic on the way out of Birmingham wasn't too great. We might have hit rush hour but don't let that keep yo

How to opt for a New Car with Lower Rates

Finding a dream car might be an easy task but arranging funds can be a daunting task. Many people will not be able to afford the price and hence a right kind of financing options must be viable for them. One must consider his financial situation before applying any kind of loan. The borrower must be aware of the monthly payments and must be ready to meet the financial obligations every 6 or 7 year

I neglected to take any photos at Phish or Bonnaroo and only a dozen or so on the road but I attached a few anyhow. Bonnaroo was loads of fun and it was nice to be surrounded by people drink beer and not ride a bike for a change. We managed to get my

First however we stopped at the information center so that we wouldn't be too lost as we ambled the streets. The guy was EXTREMELY nice and helpful our first taste of true Southern hospitality although maybe it actually began in
