Egypt Giftun Island November 2005

Giftun Island can be reached by many tourist boats taking off from Hurgada in less then an hour. The sand is really white and water magic. And we did lot of snorkeling along the coral reefs too. The area is protected and construction forbidden but there are too many tourists for my taste. Luckily the stay on the Island is limited so they donrsquot manage to disperse and make more damage but be

Egypt Hurgada November 2005

Hurgada is 36km long seashore resort on the Red Sea. It seamed rather new and boring so nothing attracted us except prospect of snorkeling in the famous waters and visiting our friends Tamara and Marko who worked in El Gouna. We decided to go over agency because it was impossible to get to charter flight from Belgrade to Hurgada otherwise. Joca lost a wallet on the plane and a friendly guy found it

Egypt Hurghada Cairo Giza

Since being in Slovakia is such hard work...Sylvia and I decided we needed to get away from it all and take a little vacation. I convinced Sylvia that Egypt would be very interesting since the pyramids were something I had always wanted to see. We booked a trip to stay at a resort along the Red Sea near Hurghada and flew from Kosice on a chartered flight with nothing but Slovak vacationgoers.

So a year has passed from my AMAZING trip around Europe and i have been getting very itchy feet needing to travel again. My in June my boyfriend Colin and I decided last minute to take a trip to Egypt as i have wanted to go there for so many years. So we booked a holiday to the lesser know area of Hurghada on the coast within reasonable distance to Luxor. The week was lovely as we went on the be

My family have visited Hurghada Red SeaEgypt for several years but over the last two years the newly introduced taxi service has become a complete menace. The taxi's ''curb crawl'' honking their horns touting for business the kamikaze drivers regularly doubletreble their fares for Europeans and cheat them out of their change. However this year a friend recommended an English expat who met us a

Day 12This was our last full day in Hurghada so we thought we better get out and not spend the entire time by the pool. We went on a jeep safari. We were piled into land cruisers and off into the desert we drove. This time we were lucky enough to be with a large group from Poland. Again we were the only non Polish people besides the guides in the group. We arrived at a Bedouin village and after

Day 11The day started as our first day that we did not have to get up and had no plans. So we slept in ate a huge breakfast and then proceeded down to the pool and beach to start our day's activities of absolutely nothing. It was great. The weather was perfect hot but not too hot. We did spend a good part of the day answering questions to the workers of where we were from. Not one guessed w
