So the bus to Iloilo was a bumpy but interesting experience When we finally arrived we jumped in the cloest taxi we could find and headed to our hotel The Fine Rock. First impressions of Iloilo were dissapointing we had expected a nice town centre but couldn't find a town centre anywhere it seemed to be just roads roads and more roads. Not to worry we were looking forward to the nice hotel

After a long and tiring flight to las Islas Pilipinas I left Apple in Manila and took a flight to cebu. The flight was delayed just what I needed after travelling for 24 hours already...Finally got to the pension house and had a nosey at the Historically and Internationally significant Mactan Island. This is the place where Ferdinand Magellan remember him from history lessons the portuguese

The last stop of our trip is Mactan Island. On our 3rd day we checked out at LS 2 pension house and proceeded to Mandaue City to catch a glimpse of the Chapel of the Last Supper. We didnrsquot had the chance to come near to it because during that time a mass was being held and the location of the Last Supper carvings are inside the church. We just took a picture from afar and then off we went t

Leaving Malapascua meant we had 1 final ferry scam to encounter but more worrying was actually the act of getting on and off the boat. Boarding and disembarking the ferry were interesting balance exercises complicated by carrying a 15kg backpack. Boarding involved climbing a narrow plank that moved up and down as the tide rose and fell. Disembarking required crossing to another boat then des
