Autumn Leaves in Donghwasa

I read in Daegu Pockets a magazine for expats in Daegu that the weekend of October 24th was the optimum time to go to Palgongsan mountain to see the autumn leaves. So Heather and I hoped on the Rapid Bus 1 and headed out to the mountain. We couldn't believe our luck it was the perfect fall weather to head out to the mountains and apparently half of the city of Daegu thought the same thing.

I have been seriously yearning for taking pictures of Fall scenery. Sure CA has some signs of Autumn but with all the trees here I really feel like itrsquos Fall. One of my goals for this weekend was to go out and explore and take in the sights and smells of the season. So Alison and I decided to go to Seolleung tombs which are only about 30min away from home. As soon as we step inside 2 K

After another long delay we are back with new tales. Although the ldquohoneymoonrdquo phase of travel may be coming to an end we are now enjoying the comforts of establishing a routine in a land that seemed as far from home as possible only a few months ago. When we are not working hard for the money taming the youngsters we now spend our days playing Frisbee on Sundays with a local league

So there is a saying It takes a village to raise a child. The saying for SoKo needs to be revised a bit It takes a village to get a student into university. It turns out my online applications to university were a piece of cake compared to the shinanigans that my students are expriencing. Absolute insanity.
Camp Mu Juk South KoreaWork has taken me to Camp Mu Juk located in Pohang South Korea. There isn't much to do on this base except browse the small PX and grab some food in the ROK Hard Cafe. Since I have basically the whole day free I decided to do a little research on the base I'm staying at. Here's what I came up withCamp Mu Juk taken from httpwww.globalsecurity.orgmilitaryfacility

Irsquom really lucky as my apartment is quite big compared to what a lot of the different English schools provide their teachers. I've been very busy at work teaching and helping other teachers pilot a new program here at English village. It is a new experience using different skills and I am enjoying that part of it. It has added up to doing work related activities over 50 hours a week which I am not enjoying. On the bright side there are some Korean teachers
