So I land in Taipei at around 1930 delighted to finally be here and to be done with travelling. It's taken about 16 hours to get from London to here which I guess isn't too bad. Can i just make two points about the journey. Both Heathrow T5 and BA have had a bad press over the last year or so but I thought they were great. T5 is an outstanding piece of architecture so much better than the ot

Though last I checked it was Wednesday. On the long flight over I sat next to a health worke

We were kicked off the plane so they could refuel.I just flew from LAX to Taiwan via Malaysian Airlines MH. Love MH.
Neverending Airport Waits

Believe it or not after 6 years of living in LA I only just experienced the Tom Bradley International Terminal. And I was not impressed. Crowded run down few facilities....well it's not so bad BEFORE you cross security which I managed to do twice last night. I went looking for an ATM only to discover that the only one was located outside the security gate. Good thing my flight was delayed

So here we are in Taipei. Fourteen hours on the place wasn't fun but it wasn't too terrible either. Note if anyone ever offers you breakfast choices of scrambled eggs or pordge go with the eggs. Claire wasn't so lucky but she get to experience Tuna Floss...I still have no idea what that is but we think it comes from the sea. Goodtimes....Our flight will be boarding in a few minutes so we'll hav

And suddenly the world changes

Taipei. I don't believe I've ever been here before. It's funny how I don't even know. My stop here is brief to say the least. Yet another airport transfer in a random Asian country on the other side of the Pacific. I've had transfers in South Korea Shanghai Hong Kong Singapore and who even knows where else. It's a shame I never have time to explore the city other than one fateful day i

Well I'm cooling my heels in Tapei waiting for my flight to Bangkok and found this free internet station. The flight was long but uneventful. Seemed like I slept alot although my neck feels a little stiff. Watched Rattatouile for awhile which was entertaining. Need to head to the gate but wanted to see how easy this blog was to use. Hope you all are well.brian

Well we made it 34 of the way to Bangkok And honestly we're not much worse off for the wear. This trip seemed a heck of a lot easier and shorter than last years. Guess we can just chalk it up to being old pros now... Flight was relatively uneventful and even despite Billy's lastminute attempts to get us upgradedwe were denied The lady behind the counter had to keep 'checking' in a

Stop over

Ok the flight over here was a bit of a nightmare. I was awake the whole way to Taipei so I didn't have to much trouble besides on the landing . I'm not to good at landings and we had a lady behind us spewing for about half an hour which didn't help. I'm not a fan of Taipei although we couldn't go outside because you had to pay. The flight from Taipei to Frankfurt wasn't good. I was sick the whole

I'm finally on my way. I made it to Taipei and have a couple of minutes to kill so I thought I would write to say hi. As some of you know my passport did not come on time and I had to reschedule my flight. I've talked to one of my roommates who is in Bangkok and heading to Chang Mai. I'll probably head there as soon as I get into Bangkok. It's pretty wild being the minority for once. I met so

So here I am....

sitting at an internet cafe at Taipai aiport. Talk about clean This place is immaculate. I have a 6 hour layover here before heading to Phuket so its going to be fun trying to kill time as I do laps around the airport. At moments I become somewhat reflective. I keep thinking that I have to get back and get to work. I keep thinking there is an immediate date in which I must return to the states.
