I visited Slovenian beauties many times. I was at many hotels. I visited Postojna caves . This is a natural cave one of the biggest in the Europe. It has a mini train which is actually excited. Then I went to Ljubljana Hotel in Ljubljana. Ljubljana is amazing. This city is small but with big heart Finally I went to Sezana Lipica.

We chugged through the outer suburbs of the industrial end of Verona following the Garmins instructions to the motorway. The Italian motorway has a speed limit of 130kph so we were soon whisking our way towards Ljubljana in Slovenia. Motorway driving was fairly boring but efficient so we covered 220kms in quick time.We chose to enter Slovenia via the adventure town of Soa so this meant gettin

The Triglav National Park itineraries are simply marked by a red circle painted on rocks and trees along the way and therefore with the aid of a map navigation is reasonably simple. The terrain is rocky and the Dolomitic white limestone rocks scatter the ground beneath the beech an

As we were driven by a 21 year old driver with some slovenian irish folk music on the radio we found ourselves once again going down another narrow mountain road at the speed of 80 km. As we raced passed the trees I could only laugh how yesterday going on a similar road at the speed of 10 km I was terrified and on the verge of a total meltdown. Jeff threw me a look that meant this is our l

If you see me walking around and saying In a hundred years from now it won't make a difference you know Im not in my calmest mood. This mantra for some reason keeps me calm when I am dealing with high pressure situations which seems to be more often then not. As you can see from our pictures we are just in nirvana and stress is the farthest thing from my mind. Four little houses great view

Bled

The day began with another road race on the local autoroutes. They are toll roads you have to buy a sticker every 6 months. There is something to be said for this system because the roads are very good and the tunnels are very costly to construct. The driving time is reduced compared to the local roads which are narrow and lots of curves. Lake Bled was a treat. The weather was wonderful and we w

The journey took 40 mins to reach Lake Boheme. We were recommended a camp site on the lake side

Spent the day cycling up the Soca valley beside the river Soca which is a turquoise green glacial river. The valley is very beautiful through wooded mountains. Lots of canoeing hiking and biking around here.
Arrived safely in Klagenfurt bikes intact thanks to careful handling by Ryan Air. Couple of nice days around the lakes of Austria and then the first mountain pass into Slovenia. 18 gradient appears to be the only road sign the authorities have Diane walked to Slovenia and was serviously annoyed that Richard had turned down a tractor ride to the top of the pass and international border point. Well fair to say things didnt start off too well. As it turned out we incorrectly assumed that the train would leave from the main station Keleti the same one we arrived at 4 days earlier from Bratislava

I have fifty or so for dining out still my five medical words does capella count and now I know about a hundred to do with religious icons. Round up of Italy If I see another mediaval fresco of Madonna Col Bambino I will scream. The G
