What a strange day all round. Suzy packed up again and we are ready for the move again. This time we were heading for a camp site at Punta Povile. It wasnt an ACSI site but they had been round and registered the site so it had to be OK. Or at least that is what we though. The journey started off OK and we headed along the motorway. Nothing special just an endless line of nothingness. The road li

Suzy is settled in the campsite in Split Camping Stobrec a few kilometres out of town. We woke up to a grey old day which felt a little like England in March or November rather than Croatia in May. Our plan was to catch the bus into the city and we got up early enough to catch the 8.55 bus at the end of the road. We had been told by the receptionist that we had two choices the first was to catch

If there ever was heaven then this was it. No noise but the sound of birdsong. The campsite was empty and as an ACSI site cost 246 kuna including tourist tax for two nights.
It was our third and last day in Pula and it really has been an excellent stopover for us. The apartment has been great with plenty of room to spread ourselves out and has everything that we could have wanted in facilities including a washing machine. So for the first time on the adventure we were able to wash clothes in a washing machine rather than by hand. It was a bit like being Bear Grylls on

It is the only one within striking distance of Dubrovnik but its not the most interesting. But we were not here to see the campsite but to see what is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic.
After a disturbed night of sleep we decided to move on. Paying our bill was interesting. The queue was long and it took a while to get to the front of it. Eventually though the files were taken out the plastic wallets removed. The paperwork taken out of the files and we came to the paying up bit. 145.50 kuna for one night stay.Once paid we could be on our way on what should have been a hop skip

What a day Suzy started off parked up in Camping Rozac in Trogir . The plan was to walk into town look around come back and chill out for the rest of the day. However all plans tend to go wrong or get changed depending on the weather or on the night sleep that we have had. Iguess that is one of the beauties of motorhoming if you like it you stay if you hate it you move on. Well last nights

One thing I have learnt about travelling on a budget and being a bargain hunter is that these exceptionally cheap air fares usually come with strings attached. When I fell upon 15.00 tickets to Zadar Croatia I was all over that like a rash. 15.00 from East Midlands to Zadar. 15.00 back flying into London Stansted. Bargain Unfortunately the strings became evident the night before whilst

I hate to think what it will be like at the height of the season but I managed guessing 20 lengths by counting in my head. . Due to high winds at Dubrovnik Airport we have no choice but to divert to Split. Coaches will be available to take you onwards to Dubrovnik. Sorry for the inconvenience.I rolled my eyes at Michael who nodded in acceptance. Bloody hell I said. So much for saving time by going by plane.
