My husband our two kids and myself have wanted to try out skiing for a long time so we looked for a resort that has a reputation for being kid friendly and has a good school for beginners. The Park City Mountain Resort ticks all the boxes. Itrsquos said to be one of the best destinations for novices and children and I particularly liked their guarantee of small groups with no more than 5 peop

I was able to go to Bryce Canyon when I was onshored in Salt Lake last year. Me and my office mates woke up early in the morning.. around 5AM and we were on the road to Bryce by 6AM. It was a good thing that one of my office mate knows his way around Utah so we were able to get to Bryce without getting lost on the road.. We passed through the scenic road.. seeing red canyon and all the amazing r

The drive from Bryce to Capitol Reef was uneventful through Utah 12 except there are lots of zigzag and up hills down hills. It makes you feel like that it will never end but in a good way. The scenary was beautiful. Most of the hills are redsoiled with Aspen turning gold in the autumn sun. We watched the west side of Capitoal Reef in the sunset from an overlook before we arrived at Torrey. S

We got an early start from Zion hoping to snag one of the firstcome firstserved campsites at the North Rim. The forecast was for daytime temps in the 60s 40s at night. Pretty good camping weather. However when we arrived at Grand Canyon Natl Park it was only about 45 degrees and the campsites were all filled. Probably best all around as we were pretty done with cold nights. We hiked out to

Staying in Boulder for two weeks worked out thanks to Joersquos hospitality and my own need for daily yoga ldquojob thinkingrdquo and space. The majority of my time was spent taking fitness classes watching half a season of Firefly and pirating internet from Barnes and Noble and sometimes Panera just for variety. Boulder is tucked into the beautiful Rocky Mountain foothills that are glow

From Las Vegas it was a pretty short drive to Zion National Park. When we reached the park the good news was that there was a campsite available. The bad news was if we wanted to stay 2 nights we did we would have to move to a different site since we were in the overflow camping at a group site that would be occupied the following night. Not too bad considering we would only have to driv

We entered the Zion NP about 8 AM and the sun was just starting to light up the unique rock formations and structures. Betty and I did not spend much time in Zion but we talked of it often.
Initially this long weekend trip to Zion was supposed to be with a group of friends. Since none of them were able to make it I changed it to a family camping weekend. My mom sister and her boyfriend all came along. For my mom this would be her first camping experience. It will be quite interesting to see how well she deals with it. I picked up our rental car for the weekend a Chevy HHD on F
