After our siesta in Barcelona we had a pleasant visit with GiladAsaf's brother whose house we stayed in while he was back in the States. Anyway Gilad showed us his Barcelona by taking us for hot chocolate it's more like a hot thick pudding that you eat with a spoon to his favorite local restaurants and showing us around his neighborhod Gracia.
The Beginning

Well what happened to me this week has been very crazy. So much occurred to me that I am going to try to explain everything briefly. Let's see well for a start I arrived at Madrid airport Barajas at 11ish in the morning. Everything was fine I had to take my bags and myself to the bus station in the south called Alvaro Mendez. I took the subway without a problem. There were escalators to he

We have been without internet access for several days but those days have been full. We left the Coimbra area of central Portugal on Tuesday and drove south to the very tip of Portugal. Sagres was once believed to be the end of the world. This is where Henry the Navigator set up a school in the 15th century where Magellan and Columbus both studied. Our drive south took us through varying terr

I realize it's been several days since my last entry and the major reason has been a lack of access to the internet however a lot has happened and hopefully I'll be able to remember a sufficient amount to recount an interesting story. My reaction to Madrid is much the same as it was to any other big city. We didn't have the opportunity to experience much of the night life as we did in Barcelona
