Day 36 171011Had free breakfast at hostel bowl of cornflakes and some toast and then went to book Scooteroo. Used a bit of the free internet and hanged around a bit until 215 came which meant it was time for Scooteroo. Scooteroo was fantastic you get a bikers jacket a cool helmet and a cheap kiddies tattoo and then your off on a Harley Davidson style motorbike around the roads of Australia

In between visits we took a ferry to Magnetic Island for

The travel agent tried to get us to book onto a 30 person party boat which we politely refuse and pay a bit extra for a smaller vessel and a bit of luxury plus no st

We arrived in Brisbane and immediately had to walk a kilometre uphill in 33 degree heat to our hostel. Not the most fun aspect of travelling. Our hostel was brand new and very funky with a nice rooftop swimming pool. We spent 3 days in Brisbane but didn't really do much apart from meeting Dans friend from school who now lives here.A very short journey from Brissie is Straddie Stradbroke island

So yesterday I went to Lady Musgrave Island on a day cruise. Its an island made entirely of dead bits of coral which then had seeds plant themselves on it. There is soil in the middle of the island but its made of dead birds dead leaves and dead trees. How lovely. Its the lowest point on the Great Barrier Reef and given that my whole Australia trip has been mainly to see the reef you
