I had slept on the plane with my contacts in and fallen asleep the night before with them in. My eye continued to puss through out the night and was red in the morning. i then started to fear pink eye. But we were headed out to surf so i had to put the contacts back in and sucked it up. The hotel itself nothing to write home about and the beach even less so dirty grey sand littered with rubbish and the odd stray dog wanting to be your best friend. Drove up to the city of Lautoka about half an hour north of Nadi which was a nice drive but the city is really not much to write home about. We were subjected to a 4 hour flight from the Cook Islands to Auckland crossing the international date line making it no longer tuesday morning but wednesday morning. This time the beach isn't so nice but the hostel is great.
