A Vacation in the Homeland

Friday April 24th BUS VS. TRAINTransportation in London always holds surprises. Yesterday we tried booking a bus from Corsham to London only to discover that we'd pay 38 for the pleasure of sitting on a bus for 3 12 hours on what should be a 1 12 hour car ride. The train on the other hand cost a whopping 1 more. Trains in England are more than two worlds away from the ones taking millions

We don't usually enjoy traveling in large cities. If you read back on our travels we usually enter cities just to stock up on essential stuff as well as essential pleasure you sometimes just HAVE to have a good meal and a latte Some big cities are worthwhile to visit. Rome gets the tastebuds flowing SanFrancisco is pleasant HongKong combines the East and West Jerusalem is truly the mos

I know I'm sorry I am incredibly slackMy first few weeks here were quite hard because I was watching my money supplies dwindle the news announcing night after night that another company has gone bankrupt and made thousands of people jobless and competing with everyone else for any kind of work. Typical I arrive and the country decides to go into a recession But it hasn't been all bad I fou

The heading of this page hightlights a couple of the first things I head when I arrived in London. I jumped on the tube from Heathrow Airport to meet Louise and Alex in Hammersmith. The female voice over on the tube said... This is a Piccadilly line train stopping all stations to Cockfosters... being human I giggled to myself. What a funny name for a suburb Gold Then at every station Please

Hello thereWe have been in London for just over two months now so in that time we have developed some opinions on the place. Vancouver had a lot of violence but most of it was gang related and didn't usually involve random attacks on the general public. Over here there it seems like most of the stories you hear about invo

Seeing as I was going to miss Brock's real 30th birthday I decided to throw him a surprise party admittedly it was a good few months before his actual birthday but I figured we were on London time...I steadfastly stalked all Brock's UK friends via facebook and invited them to help celebrate. Plans were all set Kate stayed home to prepare whilst Brock and I headed off on a shopping expedition
