Though late to bed last night the hot hot sun and light got us up early. Went to the shops for brekkie and in search of some battery operated fans. With no lick in the mall we went back down to Chinatown. We booked into a Thai restaurant for that evening and bought tickets for the oldest built in 1916 outdoor cinema in the world where you sit on deckchairs it costs 16 each.
We got to Broome bright and early on September 13th having taken the overnight bus from Kununurra. After checking into the hostel we took a walk around the town. Broome is a very nice town small but upscale. It is famous for being the main pearling centre of Australia especially during the early nineteenth century. That first night we decided to walk down to Cable Beach one of the most famou

Three months of taxi driving is enough to send anyone to the loony bin and especially when you drive at night. A lot has happened since my last entry and I decided to arrive back in Broome in May ...... or June. One of those. I was straight in to a taxi and working five nights a week and now I am on an if I feel like it basis which is really nice although I never actually do feel like it. The tw

The drive to Broome has to be one of the most boring drives done so far. The road is one long dusty straight road with flat terrain either side. No hills no real scenery just flat monotonous plains. The annoying thing is that the sea is only a few km to our left according to the map but we canrsquot see it. We limit our driving to an hour each to try and brak up the monotony and it also eats
