Our first day on Grand CaymanOur trip began when we left home at 1030 PM on Nov. 21. We had to connect through Charlotte NC. Then there is the land where you can get lost in the dense jungles with snakes spiders and insects that fly away w

The water is so warm 27 degree 80 F for today as an example never this warm back home. You can see why the night time dips have been so appealing. I can hear people chatting about the storms in the US and I've seen your pics from our Canadian winter glad I'm h

Day 1 Boxing day. Up at 330 in the morning to prepare for boarding in Halifax NS. In the air for sunrise and then the long wait in Toronto as our flight attendant was delayed. Serious cheering when a new attendant volunteers to get us home. Snowing in TO...4pm we hit Grand Cayman.
Today was the last port day with Mel and Jess and we were in Grand Cayman. In my opinion the site to see in Grand Cayman is stingray city where you can snorkel with the stingrays and Mel and Jess agreed with my suggestion. We did a combo tour where we got to go snorkeling along the coral reef and then with the rays. While I've been out with the stingrays probably about a half dozen times this s

We overslept. That is how our day started in Grand Cayman. We had hoped to possibly go snorkeling before we were to meet everyone in our Shazam group at Senor Frogs for a big West Coast Swing dance party instead we had enough time to walk around town for a little while before heading over for music and dancing. What little we saw of Grand Cayman was just a standard port town. With most of the guests on shore we had the pools decks food all to ourselves. The day was mostly sunny so took advantage of some time to sit in the sunshine. We all have a bit of a burn not to much. We will check with the excursion desk to see if we can res

Tortuga HoThe last two days had been rather pleasant aboard with not too much rolling of the ship and calmer seas but last night there was much more motion and as we approached the island they seemed to be firing the bow thrusters with the effect of jerking the ship around. So despite a late night we both woke up feeling a bit dehydrated around 745AM much too early for a vacation. As Jennifer
