Its funny how life tends to work out. Of course in order for life towork outlife usually had to have thrown you a few curveballs...and probably beaned you with one or two of them...But since Ive resolved to be the glass half full type this morning Ill focus on the good stuff namely that I have finally embarked on an escursion.
Arrived in Caracas yesterday afternoon and was almost instantanously overjoyed by the ensuing heat. My plane journey was anything but uneventful Firstly when I arrived at the airport I checked in and the lady behind the desk said something about tax I thought oh great more expense but I went into a side office and they gave me 60000 pesos just under 20 pounds confused but a good start.
After a six hours on the bus we arrived in Caracas froze to the core. The air con on the bus was ridiculous and the only restbite was when we stopped for lunch which I used to heat up in the sun We also had chance to taste our first Arepa similar to a pita and filled with roast pork cheese and salad very filling. Once at the bus station we tried to haggle for a taxi but they all wanted dou

After arriving in Manaus on Monday evening we flew to Caracas to spend a few days in Venezuela. Our flight was an overnighter we arrived about 6am Tuesday morning ... and being that we were waken up by sweet little children on the boat at 5am and couldnt sleep on the plane we arrived rather cranky and wanting to just be on our way. The goal was to get to Angel Falls ... the worlds tallest wate

So we went to Caracas. If you ask me how the trip went it'd be pretty hard for me to give you a straight answer. Let's just say it was interesting as they seem to go around here. We got out of class at 8pm last Thursday and headed to our houses to frantically throw the last of our things in our bags. Then we headed out for the bus terminal which was about a half a mile from our neighborhoo

The journey was bad enough to begin with. I had to get back to Ecuador so the Dragoman tour continued towards Brazil without me setting off at 8am. I had a nightbus back to Caracas that night at 10pm which meant waiting around by myself for FOURTEEN HOURS. And the nightbus itself was a ten hour journey. Plus when I arrived at Caracas airport I would have a further eight hours to wait for my f
