Well we just made it through out second night in Kuala Lumpur which was not difficult considering the hostel we are at is called Back Home. I would not consider it like back home but they do think of everything. The beds are really comfortable and everyone is genuinely nice. No wonder it was rated the number one hostel in Malaysia. However we wanted to stay another night but there is no room th

By the time we arrived at the parking location took a shuttle to the airport checked in etc the boys were interesting. And for my first stop I39m back in the land of the Ringgit again this time on the peninsular side and the capital of Malaysia that is Kuala Lumpur KL.It39s funny how by virtue of its sheer p

So I really don39t know where to begin with this blog and it39s been such a long time since I wrote on here. I must apologise that I have not read my last blog so this may not directly follow on or I may even be repeating myself. The anticipated visa application did not go as planned but isn39t that always the way in life. Anyhow things turned out just fine. I am settled comfortably in a

I would like to apologize in advance for my English as you know Im French and my country is not reputed to be the best in foreign languages.
No stories from Kuala Lumpur this time as this was our fourth stop in KL and we did all the sightseeing already. So just a few snaps and one video httpyoutu.beKfE4Qaago8Y of a crazy rain and human feet running through a huge puddle most of them taken while we were geocaches hunting in the town.

As we were extremely lacking in good quality sleep on the train given that the lights had been on all night and the train had stopped to pick up passengers several times we checked into PODS Backpackers Hostel near KL Central Train Station and went back to sleep. The Hostel itself was a fairly novel concept where you all sleep in pods raised floors with mattresses and the walls didn39t

After an approximate twelve hour flight from Heathrow we arrived in Kuala Lumpur. We had visited Kuala Lumpur about four years ago so this was very much a relaxing stopover with the biggest focus being on lying by the pool and warming up in readiness for our return to an Australian summer. We caught a taxi for the almost one hour drive from the airport. We learned on our last visit that purcha

They took us to a Chinese wet market along with another traveler who is staying at another one of their properties.
The thing about airports are that they take a whole lot of your time. Our flight from HK was just 3.5 hours but we ended up really killing the bulk of our day due to having to be at the airport early including any travel to and fro. We left at 810am from our guesthouse in HK and got on the bus that took us to the airport the ride about 1 hour. From then on we checked in and then waiting at the a

Finally after my 67th B39day the day has come to the second leg of the journey. While the South American trip was a novice experience with all its surprises I am expecting nothing like that from this trip. The good thing is that as I am expecting less there will be less of a disappointment if it does not turn out to be as fantastic. Who knows this trip may still hold some revelations.
