I have updated my map.I have finally put some photos online.By far the most interesting aspect of rambling around on a bike is riding into towns. Inevitably I've spent a great deal of time in the wilds at least a few days and generally I'm in need of a very specific set of things a shower a real full meal water. That about rounds it out. Very simple. And so it was today when I rolled into

The third and final day of the SeattleLA run dawned clear and warm. The overnight low in Death Valley was 66F. Watching the dawn with coffee and granola bar began a relaxed morning. Struck camp and rolled out about 0900 headed for LA. The route ran South out of Furnace Creek a side loop around Artist's Drive and along Badwater Basin. A nice surprise for those who love twisty

Back in CaliforniaOkay I didn't post yesterday. I was just too beat and feeling really weird so I skipped it. So this is two days' worth. Wednesday morning got up kinda late no surprise and left Amarillo Texas. Stopped off to check out the 72 ounce steak. The deal with this thing is that if you can eat it in an hour it's free. It's a LOT of meat. You have to eat it at a special table in fro

Day 8

Day 8 I apologize for not having this up last night. We finally got into a hotel around 11 California time about 1am STL time. So we had a really big day today We left William bright and almost early this morning and drove to Seligman AZ. Seligman takes their Route 66 heritage seriously and you can tell from the Snow Cap. The Snow Cap is sort of like a diner it serves burgers and malts

Penny's Diner

I usually go to Las Vegas at least once a year. Mainly to attend conferences or trade shows such as NAB National Association of Broadcasters. And everytime I've driven from LA to Vegas on the 15 freeway I would see signs for Peggy Sue's 50's Diner. I assumed the I followed the freeway signs and ate at Peggy Sue's Diner but after paying the bill I noticed the receipt said Penny's Diner.
