Park City Utah

So we decided that there really isn't much to do in Salt Lake so we headed up to Park City today. It's not that far from SLC about 30 miles. It is really beautiful up there. It must be amazing in the Winter with all of the snow everywhere. We took the girls to a little amusement park that had an alpine slide and rollar coaster. Of all the the hikes we've done in the desert of utah why is it

Park City Utah

The second stop on our US tour was Park City Utah. I was married in the 90s to a woman named Nicole who had two children when we met. The marriage was a package deal. Those two children Jeremy and Tarryn are grown now and I have remained in contact with them after Nicole and I divorced in 2001. Jeremy is 26 years old and Tarryn is 24.Tarryn was almost three years old when I met her mother. Tarryn

Day 3 The Canyons Olympic Park

Day 3 The CanyonsToday Natalie and I split up for the day. I visited the Canyons and she went to visit Olympic Park. The Canyons received 10.5 inches of fresh powder. The visit to Canyons was memorable in the fact you took one gondola to reach the village then another one to ski. The canyon offers the most terrain compared to the other two resorts. Natalie visited Olympic park and took a guided

Day 2 Park City Resort

Day 2 Park City ResortNo snow in the forecast today. The drive takes 30 to 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. Not a bad drive if the weather cooperates. Today we visited Park City resort and had high winds and white outs while skiing. This caused delays at several of the lifts. It ended up being so windy I had to purchase a neck gator at the top of the mountain.A few highlights of Park City was g

From the tropical bliss of Bora Bora we flew via LA and an unusually friendly US immigration experience the official joked that I looked like a terrorist at least I think it was a joke into Sante Fe New Mexico and a particularly cold western American winter. This marked the start of the eagerly awaited especially by me skiing leg of the trip. As Vic remarked on the pretty adobe buildings I

Let's see so much to write about. It's funny when you set out on a trip and intend to do one of these blogs you figure you'll make an entry pretty much every day. What we've found is that you find yourself otherwise occupied during the day and pretty tired at night. Nonetheless here is what could be the final entry before we get home. The first day in Salt Lake was pretty lowkey. We were so

Poetic Park City Side Trip

Today's trip was after 5 hours of hard work this morning in which I made pretty good progress on the presentation with the Powerpoint chart you saw in the last installment. So walked out into the looooong corridor outside my room got into the car and started driving.... One of the things definitely to remember about the drive from SLC to Park City is the really big outlet center on the way.

I suppose this journey of mine started when I graduated from college. Like most before me I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I did however know with a very strong conviction that I wanted to see what I could of the world before getting caught up a career mortgage real life responsibility etc etc etc. First thing was first I had to go abroad. So I spent almost two months backp

Ah what a couple of days people I can't believe it. Yesterday Sunday friends of Dad's family came into town... We skied with all of them except there was only one problem. There were about 7 kick ass snowboarders that I couldn't even keep up with and those boarders who I have skied with know I can stay right on your tails... So they were crazy and really really really GOOD. We headed to th

Driving across Nevada was a very boring experience for all drivers concerned 9 hours of nothingness. It even had the cheek to rain. The endless miles of desert changed into miles of Salt plains the minute we crossed into Utah very bizarre. Passed the site of where the land speed record is held but even Chuck resisted the urge to upstage it.Park City is gorgeous an old mining town that
