Today began very cool for me and was most welcome to assist with the stench mosquito and love bug problems. All three were in attendance when it began warming up at mid morning. It has been what some call a 'Chambers of Commerce' day. Most schools are back in session today others will resume on Monday coming. Current logistics of residence for some students are being addressed and dealt wi

The smell is getting better on the way to work. Or maybe I'm getting used to it. Have you ever had the 'opportunity' don't you just love that buzz word at work to be in the area of a poggy fish or chicken processing plant warehouse This smell may be worse.
It's hard for me to look at the photos of damaged areas. It's harder driving through Bridge City to and from my work site. I refuse to drive past work a couple of miles to investigate Sabine Pass proper. I have no business there and they are busy.Work at my site to pack up everything left is continuing as is the mosquito population stench heat and pure mess.
A Monday but what a Monday I came back to my area from evacuation on Friday evening luckier than a lot that I had electricity. Saturday and Sunday I was concentrating on trying to get some of the tree debris off my property. My body feels my efforts. I went back to work today in Sabine Pass.
Just so You'd KnowThis is too active a hurricane season for my liking in southeast Texas. I'm tired of running already but will. I have divorced for less aggravation. I returned home Wednesday just three days ago from my evacuation from Hurricane Gustav. Don't get me wrong I am glad to have gone away.
It was slow hot and full of semi road rage by everyone. Texas and specifically my counties did extremely well in the planning notification to the public and routes out of the areas were well thought out. Other little places on the routes were not as prepared. Their stop lights were not a help in dealing with lines of traffic. This was not as bad as Hurricane Rita by any means Then the way back

There are limited forest areas in Texas and they are mostly concentrated in east Texas. These are called the ldquoPiney Woods.rdquo Since I am desperately missing my Redwoods Sequoias and Ponderosa Pines I figured this little side trip would be good for my mental health. It sprang up rather quickly and right on our coasts That surprised and worries all of us here on the coast of Texas and Louisiana. Last summer our my area was surprised with Humberto that did not do whatthe forecasters expected when everyone here went to bed and sleep.
