Vienna waits for you

I havent updated in forever. Italian hostels do not provide wifi so I have been without it for the past 5 days.Ill try to be as detailed as I can remember. We got up and left for Vienna. Unfortunately we only had about 12 hours there. It was rather unfortunate because so far Vienna is my favorite city. This surprised me because other than the Lipizzaner Stallions being from there I did not

On my way from Budapest to Munich I stopped for five days to visit Vienna.I visited several churches and the Cathedral. These were some of my favourite places to go visit as there were regular organ concerts. I even got to hear Mozart39s Requiem complete with choir orchestra and soloists. I also got to listen to more Bach than ever before St. Peter39s Church is baroque St. Stephen39

Day 6 Ooh Vienna

Words cannot describe how ecstatic I am about not having to get up and jump into a hot stuffy car today. I also manage to get a well deserved lie in too as we sleep until 11amthat extra hour makes all the difference. We realise upon waking that we have nothing to eat our cereal taken from our bag of food supplies out of except a pint glass we stole from a bar in Ibiza hidden in our luggage

THE SUMMER PALACE

I have learned more about Austrian history on this trip than any history class I have ever taken. The AustrianHungarian Empire was huge and predated many other more famous monarchs. The Habsburgs married their way in to just about every royal family in Europe and beyond. It wasnt just Marie Antoinette that was married off to forge peace but it appears that just about all of the Habsburgs wo

Even the best itineraries dont always go as expected. Today was to be a full day of the Hofburg Palace. This was the winter residence of the Hofburg Dynasty for over 600 years. The palace today houses everything from the royal apartments to the Spanish Riding School you know those fancy white horses that stand on their two hind legs. We had intended on doing 6 different things today but

We were again in 1st class and I want to say a bit about that. Yes first class train tickets cost a few more Euros and the vast majority of Europeans and trave

Mom decided she wanted to take the train instead of the bus and I didnt argue because I love trains. When we finished handling these business items it was late afternoon. Mom and Ava wanted to rest but I was dead set against it. It was our
