At Hagen I quickly transferred to a bus heading east to Goroka in the Eastern Highlands province. This was a much smoother ride with the majority along a paved highway. Near the end there was a massive climb to a summit at about 2500m above sea level then back down into the valley to Goroka.When I arrived it was absolutely pouring.
