Howdy peopleAs title states...it isn39t a hurricane. Barbara is just a windbag 120 miles or so south of us. But what a great excuse to mix up a batch of my famous jungle juice don39t ask the ingredients So it39s been rain on and off the past few nights and more to come sadly. But the other night I had what had to have been the best damned soup aside from my grandma39s corn chowder

Other than that I try and steer clear of the sun because 1130 am to 4 pm it39s intense

And quite bad no less.

So as of today I have done NOTHING read perfect. Did my grocery shopping and other than that...Nada. As for generally happier people....this is easy When I left the states TSA and customs were glib and not too happy on the whole. An

About to start making out way to Mexico. 1.5hr flight from Cuzco to Lima. Then a 12hr wait at Lima airport. May venture into the city. Then have a 6hr flight to Houston and then into Mexico City. Hoping to book a flight to get down to peudo Escondido on the same day but not sure if we have enough connection time. 12 hour wait in Lima wasn39t too bad.
So Carlotta came and wentbut she was mean to us here She wound up being a category 2 hurricane. The owner and 2 aussies and myself and Pookah and Lolly the dogs stayed in the main palapa as long as we could. Myself being the jackass I am stayed outside the protection of the concrete wall that separates things. I was duly warned by mother nature she didnt like to be mocked by a flying sign.
I did get the opportunity to go to Puerto Escondido from Santa Rosa with ECosta for a political rally for the PRD candidate for president of Mexico Obrador. The people of the coast turned out in great masses for this candidate. It was amazing. I have photos and videos. I will see if I can get the videos to upload this time.

Well I39ve been here nearly a week. This morning since I am always first one up Chris the owner and I took his dogs and went and had breakfast on the beach. Quiet Sunday here as the surf was small today so folks kinda hid inside all day.I learned the value of having a homebase here. It helps to be able to come home with 800 pesos worth of groceries and be able to eat for near a week on it and c
