Hello allSo we left New Mexico for San Antonio and WOW the ride was unbearable. Okay the landscape like I've said a hundred times is unreal but after a while you kind of get it and just want to be in a different state. It took us around 12 hours to get from Albuquerque NM to San Antonio Texas. The place we stayed in San Antonio was great it was a Crown Plaza and we got it for so cheap it al

Welcome to the South

We left Baton Rouge early this morning in order to get a good start on the day. We drove the hour to New Orleans and decided to look around the le Quartier Francais. First however we stopped at the information center so that we wouldn't be too lost as we ambled the streets. The guy was EXTREMELY nice and helpful our first taste of true Southern hospitality although maybe it actually began in

We did a highlight tour of some key interests of the city including the State Capitol and the Civil Rights Museum which is famous for Maya Lin's black granite memorial in front of the building Maya Lin is the designer of Washington DC's controversial Vietnam Memorial. You know what they say about

We were in Florida for 2 12 days geocaching Hey we have the time and we aren't ones to resist caching.
Day One

OK What a long drive. My first leg was almost 700 Miles which landed me in Blue Ridge GA. First the good news The scenery was Beautiful. Now the bad news. Since I decided to take all back roads there wasn't any where to pull over and get the spectacular shots of the landscape but not to worry we still have a good 12 to 14 days left on this trip. I will be posting a few images that I though

Where The Skies Are So Blue

Ah Sweet Home Alabama our journey into the deep South. As we crossed the state border from Georgia it seemed as though time had stood still about 60 years ago and not in a good way. There are an interesting number of trailers and rundown houses dotted around with some hungrylooking horses hanging about but no real towns. We were beginning to be glad that we were only staying for 2 nights.....
