In Lijiang I was also going to meet up again with Karen who had not made it into Tibet after all and was travelling around the same area so we decided to travel together again.The five hour busjourney from ShangriLa to Lijiang was awful The middle aged woman next to met spat right http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/China/Yunnan/LuGu-Lake-/blog-307426.html After arriving in Lijiang in NorthWest Yunnan Province we were transported on perilious mountain roads think rock falls landslides precipitous drops narrow roads limited guard rails slippery mud for some six hours to the very beautiful Lugu Lake which borders Sichuan Province. For him the reason is simple since it is so far away from Lijiang not too many people have been there.
