Dakota didn't travel far but did a lot of tourist things. First off today visited Mount Rushmore and walked the Presidential Trail. Then on to see the Crazy Horse Monument and finally visited the Mammoth Site where they are excavating a site containing at least 50 Mammoth skeletons. Night stop Hot Springs SD. Apparently a bunch of the big rascals went and died in a South Dakota spring about 26000 years ago.Push forward to 1974 and a local developer was getting ready to bulldoze the site to put up some homes and hit some bones.
