I stopped at Las Palomas which faces the ocean for my first Mexican meal and cerveza and lo and behold Eduardo one of the waiters at Salsa Mexicana Restaurant who was part of my lifesaving apres the France Fiasco came up to me and said I loo

As you've all probably read the trip up untill this point has been abit of a booze fuelled jaunt around Central America. So in a faint detox effort and to learn some much needed Spanish I've gone back to school S. I'm in Puerto Vallarta at the moment a tropical tourist trap on the Pacific coast packed with pubs clubs Spanish schools and the occasional American expat. For the last week I'v

Puerto Vallarta Mexico

Spent one week with my girlfriend and two amazing friends from back home in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. It is truly one of the best trips I have ever been on simply because people still at my age mostly go on trips to drink heavily and not do much other than that. I was able to do a lot see a lot and take a lot from the trip and for the first time I feel very content with my vacation.

This past weekend we had a blast in Sayulita Mexico A group of 16 of us from the University of Colorado and Georgia State University rented a house called Casa Agave in the mountains of Sayulita. The 5000 sq. ft. house was completely covered in tile and adobe...and the bedrooms had AC Ah the luxuries of air conditioning. We decided to go to Sayulita because we heard that it wasn't as t

Our adventures in Puerto Vallarta rarely slowed down. One of the next adventures was out to Yelapa a small beach town that is only accessible by boat. Our form of transportation was a water taxi. They are just like street taxis except they are rickety little boats. Our water taxi was able to get us in front of our hotel but trying to get onto the boat with out getting taken over by the for

I have a big heart for the Puerto Vallarta area. The way the tropical hills pour into the sea is simply breathtaking. I couldn't wait to get out and explore with Ronnie and our friends Joellyn and Grant. We arrived at our hotel before noon. We stayed at one of my favorite inexpensive hotels right on the beach and at the end of the Malecon the long walk along the beach Hotel Rosita has a bad r

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta airport at 1100am and a day before our friends. We were able to get some great flight deals by flying in a day early and so we decided to leave it up to the fates as to where we would land and live for 24 hours. We used Hotwire and picked a hotel that was the cheapest for a 2 star rating. We were destined to spend the day in Marina Vallarta. Our hotel turned out to

In the Barrio of Mexico

There is a garble of mayhem. Buses spit gears grinding and thumping. Horns from their pushbuttons blare from yellow and white Mazda taxis from gritty pockmarked trucks from local peoples and passing pedestrians. Itrsquos hot where all these species interact for a strong Mexican sun burns low in February skies. Everything seems to sweat. My pores. The parched plants covered in dust.
