We recently visited Sarlat which at only 2.5 hours drive from Toulouse and discovered a typical regional French medieval village. Sarlat has one of the most beautiful open air markets of France and is reknown for this. Hard to choose amongst all the types of fresh sausages from duck meat sausage to porc sausage with truffle or from porc sausage with roquefort to porc sausage with wild mushr

Thursday and we are a week away from Australie children school lunches CPD Milward et al ... and it sure seems it ... it so warm ... in a lovely comfortable gentle way. There is absolutely no need for cardigans and jackets at this stage of the journey ... and sitting in cafes having a beer or a mineral water guess who that is at day's end has become very attractive ...
Being in Toulouse is not to lose but to win by a LotA picture paints 1000 words and we have many of this terracotta city. Byzantine ceilings French painters and streetscapes galore ... blended with warm days and nights ... lends itself to cafe sitting and postcard writing or people gazing ... Toulouse is an architectural feast with lots of narrow streets and loads of character at every turn. W

Good afternoon relatives and friendsSorry for the delay in writing. There were no Internet cafes in Lourdes. Only lots of god and virgin mary. We have finally recovered from the running of the bulls and the party. We have enjoyed an afternoon in Toulouse A beautiful city Grant has gone off to do the washing for 15 dollars.
The SightsWe took the public bus into town which was effortless. The new metro is open but it is still only one line and only gives access to the most populous places. Old Toulouse is pretty small so it was not too much trouble to get around town.Toulouse is really an incredible city and probably does not get its due credit despite being the 5th largest city in France. The town has changed and

When I arrived in September the days were hot the nights mild and now 5 months later I wish I had taken my gloves and scarf from Haarlem in Holland. Toulouse and southern France is a beautiful and warm place on earth. Small streets and aven

We had our lunch in the motor home and then started our exploration.. The streets were deserted. At first we thought it was odd but then we realised that the south of France shops and boutiques shut at midday for longer hours. The old town is beautiful but a lot of restoration wor
