Loveland Pass
The top was a zoo. You can see the pile up to looker's right of me. Matt and I got our first POW DAY of the season on the early date of October 21st. 15 inches at Loveland Pass. We planned on skiing A-Basin, but things changed when we saw the hour lift line and 15 inches of fresh on the pass. It was 15 dry cold inches straight to hard ground and rocks. I accepted the fact that we might have to sacrifice our skis for the early season turns, but Matt was none too happy.
Sunday, I toured Vail Pass with my old roommate Andrew(TEX). Vail Pass had 25 INCHES. I say toured because we didn't really ski that much, it was mainly a day for skins and interesting traverses. There was so much snow every line was in slow motion.
