We don't have a picture to prove it, but we just had to post our fun little experience in Chaweng with a monkey, iguana, and boa constrictor. Yes, you heard it right... all three - in one place - ON TOP OF US! The trifecta! We had spent the night out on the town touring the restaurants and bars in the area when we were sipping some cocktails at a lounge with an outside balcony overlooking the streets of Chaweng. We watched as this Thai man walked up to tourists throwing a monkey in their arms, starts to take a picture with their polaroid and then demands a few hundred Bot to remove the animal off of you. We watched as he got many and many tourists walking by that couldn't say no to the adorable monkey that wanted to climb all over you. But then two more Thai men - one holding an iguana, one holding a boa constrictor - appeared in order to perform the same trick on tourists passing by. Watching in amusement from above, Marcos claimed in a drunken state that he was going to walk down there and demand that they put all three animals on him and coexist at once... all or nothing! When we got down to the street and proclaimed our request, they looked at us like we were crazy. They then asked us where we were from and once we said America... they suddenly understood. Somehow they eeked 1000 bot from us for two photographs and some great laughs with these animals... but it was well worth it! We have the photos to prove it as soon as we come home!
