Here at last

Left Manchester on Thursday 7/9/06. The journey was very tiring and the food was disgusting. I have now gone off Chinese food forever. The Singapore Airline staff were brilliant and looked after me the whole time so didn't feel lost. Glad I didn't have any more time in Singapore or I would have died of starvation - Hot Dog pastie was like a plastic sausage in pastry and all I could think about was dogs missing from the streets so I threw it in the bin. After 13 hours I managed to get a Mars Bar on the plane but even that didn't taste the same. Started to feel a bit faint from the lack of food, but managed to eat a couple of bread rolls and some ice cream.

Landed in Auckland on Saturday morning 9/9/06 and cleared customs and immigration with no problems. Yes, they let me in. My Aunty Tina and Uncle were there to meet me. Apparently the weather has been really good all week but as soon as I got here the heavens opened and it rained all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Slept for a while in the car, slept for a while on the sofa when I got here, slept for a while after I had my tea and then decided to go to bed about 8.30. Managed to sleep until 7.00 Sunday morning.

Relaxed a bit in the morning, went down to a local "Trash & Treasure" market (which is more trash then treasure), then we all went to the pub at 3pm. Didn't meet any New Zealanders just a load of other brits who have come over here to work. May meet some Kiwis when I start work. Came home from the pub and slept a bit more, then went to bed. Think I have finally caught up with my sleep now - will keep you informed!!!!!!!

Got loads of job applications today for supermarkets, home and garden places, clothes shop and stuff like that so hopefully will get something out of them.

Will put more pictures on when something exciting happens, but meanwhile, sit back and enjoy. More to come over the next six months. Sleep, work, sleep etc etc.

15-9-06 - More news. Have delivered five job applications so fingers crossed a job comes from it. Mind you this lady of leisure stuff is quite good. Could may be handle it for 6 months ha ha.

Had to get up real early today coz Aunty Tina had to take her car into town. We were down there for 8.30am (yes am) and there is a photo to prove it.

Off out tomorrow to Mount Maunganui (get your teeth round that) and am going to dip my toes in the Pacific. Hopefully there are no sharks or stingrays. Will publish the photos to prove it. Not warm enough for the bikini yet, but those photos will never be published.
