Ken woke me about 7:40. He had a latte for me so I couldn't complain. After I woke up a bit by sipping my latte on the balcony, we headed up for breakfast. It's definitely cooler today as we head north. We ate on the very back deck of the ship: eggs, bacon, croissant and fruit. As we were walking back inside we saw Bobbie so we joined him and Annie while they ate their breakfast. I have a massage at 2 pm today and Annie decided to have one too so we went up to the spa to book the appointment. Annie went back to the room and Bobbie, Kenny and I decided to go to deck 7-the walking deck; you can walk the outside perimeter of the ship 3 X for one mile. We plan to do this every day. Afterwards we stopped down on deck 5 for a coffee and a coke and hopefully a seat by the window--not a chance! These old folks aren't giving up these seats for anything! We went back to the room and enjoyed the balcony. Time for a quick salad for lunch, then a shower before my massage. I met Annie at the spa. Ken went to watch a movie. Not sure what Bobbie did. The spa experience started off weird. The receptionist checked us in; asked if it was our first time (yes), handed us each a robe and escorted us to the changing room and turned around and left. We looked around for changing rooms and only saw toilets and showers. This loud mouthed annoying lady looked at us and said 'the toilets are over there'. I said 'we just need to change'. She said again, 'the toilets are over there'. I said, 'I don't have to go to the bathroom'! We just took our clothes off right there, and put our robes on. Ok, now what to do with our clothes?? A nice guest was by the lockers so we asked her. She showed us how to use the lockers (no keys-combinations). Time to go to the waiting area. We sat down and I got us some spa water. Annie got up to do something and I noticed a brown smudge/stain on the back of her robe! We examined it and it appeared to be a stain. She walked to the nearest spa person and told them that her robe has a stain on it. They actually said 'it's just a stain'! She said 'I know that but I want a new one'!! Things improved after that because our massages were fantastic! I booked one for Ken tomorrow with 'Heidee' at 7:45 am; she is really good! I'll be able to sleep in that way! We returned to our cabins. I tried to take a nap; kind of drifted in and out. Ken was still watching the movie. By the time he returned it was time to get ready for dinner. I had 'Shrimp Daniele', Bobbie and Kenny had beef medallions and Annie had lamb. It was good! The servers brought a Birthday cake for Bobbie and everyone sang Happy Birthday! Afterwards we went to the comedy show: a Canadian: Doug Fung. He was pretty good; had a few good laughs. Ken and Bobbie went to the bar to watch the Braves on TV. I'm back in my room reading, relaxing. I reviewed the history of our first stop which is Saturday: Ponta Delgada, Portugal. We are taking a 4x4 jeep tour there. We are now passing by Bermuda although it is dark and I can't see it. It is 62 degrees and clear, 58% humidity, sea conditions (waves) are 4-7.5 ft. We have traveled 991 miles from Ft Lauderdale and have 1862 miles until we arrive in Portugal. Until tomorrow.
