I met my good friend Steve when I moved to Washington DC on business back in the 80s. We built a large sales organization for a direct marketing company. It was about to become profitable when our supplier went bankrupt and put us out of business.

After that business failed, we then joined a vacation time-share company marketing a resort in Majorca, Spain. I was the number 1 salesman one month and Steve was the number one salesman the next month. We then convinced the owner of the vacation time-sharing company to change his marketing plan from mail solicitation to direct sales.

The reorganized company was on course to be a big success. We performed as promised. The owner then decided that Steve and I would be making too much money if he paid us what he had promised. We walked away once we understood that the owner did not plan to keep his word. The re-organized company crumbled once we pulled out. I moved back to California and I have remained friends with Steve ever since.

As you can see from the pictures of his home, Steve went on to become very successful in another business and remains in that business today.

Steve had a big influence on helping me establish my travel affinity. Steve and I took several international trips together in our twenties and we even met in Hawaii by coincidence one year. Steve married Michele many years ago and they have 4 beautiful children now. They live in St. Petersburg in on the water. I last visited them about 8 years ago. Their friend Connie (and her children) were visting from Virginia and we all had some great conversations.

great seeing you
It was great seeing you Bro! Waiting to see where you'll land next. Thanks for the kind words. Wow, these pics look MUCH better than the real thing. You are a great friend. What you have done, what you do now and how you are doing it is very impressive. I realize you are the most disciplined person I have ever met. Happy trails.

Woah!!: Steve's digs are amazing!! Couldn't have done better with a resort. It's amazing how you two have remained good friends and both did better then selling the product that sent you to New York. As they say, once something goes wrong, you learn to pick yourself up and start alll over again. Love, MOM
