There is some place in the world you just feel good. New York city always been special for me. The first time I went to Manhattan, I was stressed. Will it be safe? The bus dropped us just outside central park and we start walking in small groups. Some dogs were running freely not far from us and a bunch of people where watching some kids play baseball. We stop for an ice cream and kept walking, amaze by what looked unreal to us. It was about ten years ago. I was in high school and was going to live in New York for a little while to play Basketball. I still remember the weather and every single detail of that day. New York is the theater of dreams, the one and only.

We were at the end of the road trip. We were leaving Oregon and making our last stop in California before driving back to Las Vegas to take the plane to Vermont. From there my friend will be leaving for home and I will continue what will become a solo trip down the east coast. We only had four nights left together and we chose
to check out by the main door.
I had never dreamt of going to Oregon before, but let me tell you. Portland is magic. What a great city and probably the best place down south the Canadian border to stay young. It is the size of a mini city, but every parcel of it are worth the detour. So, what is so great to see? Well, there is not that much to see. So why do you guys like it then if there is nothing to see, after all you are tourist? Well, Portland is the beer capital of the world. It has 88 microbreweries and they are all excellent. You can tour the biggest for free and sample some of the best beers in the world. (Never thought I would use the word best beer and USA in the same text). You can also enjoy some of the best retro nightlife North America has to offer. And, if that is not enough, well the prices for liquor in clubs are simply ridiculous. We will remember that night forever and in my case, try to remember it...
Oregon is not all great and Aldo we enjoy some of
the best time of our trip in Portland, we did not enjoy the coast as much as we expected. People were always telling us that the Oregon Coastal Route was even better than the PCH and that we would be fool to skip it. Only thing they forgot to tell us before we change our plans to visit it was that you mostly don't see the coast from the route. Most of the time, you have to park the car and look through the trees to get a glimpse of the Ocean. Also, Oregon mainland is quite boring, we love seeing the mountains at the beginning, but after a while they all look the same. However, all the mileage we made in Oregon was worth the small trip at Crater Lake. Crater Lake is a volcano that explodes on himself and create a huge crater on a mountain. There is a beautiful freezing lake and loads of snow. Let's just say that we were not dressed for the occasion, but had an amazing time running on snow and ice wearing shorts. We were supposed to camp there, but had to change our plans when we saw how much snow there
was.

New York is New York and nobody can deny how great that city is. I will always be amaze by the high buildings, the yellow cab and the craic that surrounds it. Chloe join me in Connecticut where we visit some of her family before taking of for another trip in Europe. Hope the next two months are just as great as the last two. Thanks lads.
