One lonely flip flop

After sleeping off our excesses from our first evening, we awoke late, glad of the extra hours of kip. We left our hostel for a donder and a bite to eat. We headed down to the river where we found an old fort and a small wat which were both very beautiful. The river was unfortunately very polluted and we both took some time to ponder the deeper meaning behind the single lonely flip flop floating downstream. The park was full of young thai people taking part in some sort of big bike ride and a group of young guys laying down some slamming breakdance moves on the hard concrete. We began to tire quickly as the effects of the hangover were still sitting on a fine balance and so we headed back to our accomodation. We popped out later for another nibble and for chez to purchase some Thai pants and an anklet for our trip to the Grand Palace the next day, then home to the hotel to get a good nights sleep for our first real adventures the next day.

Ciao bella.
