Hat Yai left us feeling like we should have stayed another day, but we packed our bags and headed to Ko Lipe. To get to Ko Lipe we had to take a speed boat, which under normal circumstances would have been an exciting adventure. But it wasn't exciting it was treacherous. Because it is rainy season the weather was stormy and restless. The journey took 2 and a half hours and the sea was so rough and the waves so huge and the swells so violent! that it was more like being on a 2 and half hour rollercoaster ride on which 50% of the passengers were vomitting - everywhere - a long vomitty rollercoaster ride....

But we survived! With only one us being ill (louise) who can no longer eat bananas, and after a good Thai meal all was forgotten.

Ko Lipe was beautiful. Our accomdation was the best we've stayed in and was very cheap because it is low season. Low season seems to be working very well for us so far, the beaches are practically empty and the prices are 60% less. For the first two days it was quite rainy but it came as a welcome relief from the sticky heat in Hat Yai and by the third day the sun was shining and sea was calm.

But disaster struck as Dave Smith developed an ear infection and he was ready to "punch a wall or kill himself"!

With Dave unfortunately down the rest of us went to a bar and played music and sang english songs very badly with some local Thai boys and the next night the boys watched the football, Dave's ear marginally improved and everybody was very happy.

Lewis and I (louise) tried our first Yoga session on the beach the next morning which was super sweaty but great excercise and we all spent the last 2 days on Ko Lipe being a little lazy and enjoying the sunshine. Dave N's Thai is improving and he has stopped saying "thank you" when he walks into a bar and has learnt to say "hello". Well done dave.

After a course of anti-biotics Dave S's ear is almost entirely better just a little blocked.

After Ko Lipe we headed to Krabi, which is where we are now. We found some friends here who we met on the Perhentian Islands which was lovely.

Today we went on a Kayaking Trip which was beautiful and we will upload some pictures when we find a computer that will let us. Next we are heading to Ton Sai where we can hopefully do some rock climbing!

Hope everyone is well
