I woke up around 7 this Saturday morning and grabbed photo equipment to take some pictures. I saw 5 cats, the first I’ve seen. I saw the street sweeper, the trash man… it wasn’t really a good time, lots of parked cars around, very contrasty light. Guess I have to get up earlier on a week day.
I decided this was a stay at home day, no studio time. I shrank and sized paper and worked on the blog. I picked up sandwiches for our walk/swim/picnic this afternoon. Paola declared that it was too hot for the walk/swim, so we will try it Sunday at 8:00 am. We ate our picnic lunch at the house and had ice in our beer, Costa Rican beach style. Then we went to the beach for a little swim. My red beach hat was great for the beach, as well as for the terrace on the castle!
I posted 2 days worth of blogs at the internet café, for almost 2 hours. It was fun just to walk around the town, which is so full of tourists today, and getting very hot. I stopped by the castle to check
Feet on the Beach
Such a nice refreshing swim in with the group. We have decided to cook tonight, so I picked up lots of fresh vegetables and a sack of lettuce salad mix!!! I also got cute little pears at the vegetable market, about 2” long. They are quite tasty.
There is an Andy Warhol exhibit going on in the castle. I try to walk through it now and then, such a juxtaposition to the environment of the gallery. The most recognizable are the Marilyn Monroes and the Soup Cans.
Mary came over for dinner. Martha grilled vegetables and we added them to a salad. Quiet evening for us… many of our group went to a party out at an olive oil farm, which made for a late night. I decided to go for sleep.
