Thailand Adventure:
Day 1 Bangkok: Welcome meeting at 6pm
Get acquainted with the Thai capital on a stroll down the travellers' hub of Khao San Road.
Days 2-4 Kanchanaburi/ River Kwai
Depart Bangkok after a morning khlong tour. Cruise the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, visit the Jeath War Museum and swim under a waterfall in Erawan National Park.
Day 5 Ayutthaya
Get a sense of Siam's former glory on a guided tour of the enchanting ruins of Ayuthaya.
Days 6-7 Chiang Mai
Travel to bohemian Chiang Mai. Shop for quirky mementos at the Night Bazaar or hone culinary skills at a cooking class.
Day 8 Doi Mae Salong
Head through undulating green valleys lined with tea plantations to picturesque Doi Mae Salong. Go underground to explore a fascinating cave system.
Day 9 Homestay
Experience life in a remote Thai village on an overnight stay with Intrepid Travel's long-time friends. Visit the House of Opium for a deeper insight into the Golden Triangle's problematic past.
Days 10-11 Hilltribe Trek
Pull on some hiking boots for a hilltribe trek and meet many interesting locals along the way.
Day 12 Chiang Rai
Stop by colourful Mae Sai on the way to the border junction between Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Spend the night in Chiang Rai, the bubbly little sister of Chiang Mai.
Day 13 Chiang Mai
Why not enjoy a traditional Thai massage before an overnight train to Bangkok.
Days 14-16 Bangkok
Search for a bargain at the massive weekend markets in Bangkok and pay a visit to impressive Wat Arun. Board an overnight train to Surat Thani.
Days 17-18 Ko Pha-Ngan
Ko Pha-Ngan, the idyllic location of legendary Full Moon parties. The island is also famous for long, sandy beaches, sensational scenery and a laidback vibe.
Days 19-20 Ko Tao Don a snorkel and mask to discover the colourful underwater world surrounding Ko Tao, Thailand's renowned diving island.
Days 21-23 Ko Samui
Travel across to Ko Samui and enjoy long white beaches, ancient temples and cooling waterfalls - but this time with the addition of a lively nightlife. Take a day tour to Thailand's largest national marine park, home to the beautiful Emerald Lake, or choose to head out on a sea-kayak trip. If that seems like too much hard work, just kick back with a cocktail on one of Ko Samui's beaches.
Mon 18th Jun figure out how to get from Ko Samui to Phuket...most probably by ferry and bus and could be an eight hour trip. Arrive eventually at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort.
Stay at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort at Karon Beach, Phuket for 12 nights.
Sat 30 June: Marriott Phuket Beach Club: 7 nights
Sat 7th July: Thai Airways TG0206 leaving 12.10pm arriving 1.35pm Bangkok.

Day 1 Bangkok
Travel around the bustling Thai capital in a tuk-tuk or relish the intoxicating aromas of Suan Lum Night Bazaar.
Days 2-4 Siem Reap/ Angkor Wat
Journey from Thailand into Cambodia and discover the history of the Khmer Empire at Angkor Wat. Be astounded by the Bayon and jungle-covered ruins of Ta Prohm.
Days 5-6 Phnom Penh
Cambodia's capital is the perfect place to uncover the country's past, present and future. Confront grim exhibits at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and be humbled by the sobering Killing Fields.
Day 7 Chau Doc
Witness the diversity of Mekong life while crossing into Vietnam by boat.
Days 8-10 Ho Chi Minh City
Clamber into the Cu Chi Tunnels to learn what life was like for Viet Minh soldiers. Hit Ho Chi Minh City's rowdy streets on a cyclo tour.
Days 11-12 Hoi An
Be seduced by the old-world charm of Hoi An, with shops selling everything from suits to handmade lanterns.
Days 13-14 Hue
Ascend the aptly named Sea Cloud Pass en route to Hue, the Vietnamese centre of learning, religion and Nguyen imperialism. Visit the impressive Imperial Citadel and royal tomb and take a relaxing cruise on the Perfume River.
Day 15 Hanoi
Feast on a scrumptious breakfast at the inspirational KOTO restaurant, dedicated to training disadvantaged youth, before exploring Hanoi's leafy streets.

Day 16 Halong Bay
Glide past stunning scenery on an unforgettable boat tour of Halong Bay.
Days 17-18 Hanoi
Try to spot a lucky tortoise in Hoan Kiem Lake, the serene heart of Hanoi. Shopping in the Old Quarter is a great way to spend those last holiday dollars.
Fly out of Hanoi on Tuesday 24th July 10.35am Thai Airways Flight TG0561. Arrive Bangkok 12.25pm
Leave 6.45pm from Bangkok TG0491 arriving Wednesday 25th July 11.05am at Auckland Airport.
