We've been planning this voyage for a long time. A trip has been in our cruising dreams since we started boating the San Juans and began slowly working our way up the Inside Passage. Last year we ventured up to Shearwater, BC, which by my reckoning is halfway to Glacier Bay. Sunday (5/13) we will leave our berth in Lake Union and began a 3-month cruise with family and friends joining us at various ports to share our journey.

I hope to use these entries as a way to share with friends and family some of our experiences as well as keep you informed as to our whereabouts. Previous attempts to blog have been frustrated by the scarcity and slowness of internet connections in remote areas and even this year there will be many days of quiet where there is no connection especially in BC where Verizon does not reach. I have not worked out yet how to notify you of new entries but I'm working on it.
