Hi All

We come to you today from the lovely Mt Isa, an interesting place to say the least. We are here for a couple of nights to do some domestics, shopping etc. before heading to Karumba on the gulf for 10 days fishing with my brother. From the Banyan Farm ( Daly River ) we headed south east to King Ash Bay on the NT side of the gulf where we were joined by Richie Robin for a week of fishing fine wining and dining. We fished 5 of the 7 days in stinking hot conditions ( one morning 27 deg's at 6.00 am ) taking some lovely barra and thread fin salmon and had a memorable morning when we took 10 barra from the front of a small creek that soon became our favorite spot. Eight of the fish were taken on the one lure! See attached some photo's of a big croc who turned up 50 metres from that creek and kept us company for a little while. We tried our luck at mud crabbing but soon learnt that if you leave your pots in too long the croc's take full advantage. One pot was destroyed and the

other disappeared altogether. We retreaved the float 300 metres down the creek. The little boat has performed magnificently travelling 60 klm's round trip each day to the mouth of the Crooked Creek. As I mentioned it was terribly hot and i would like to take this opportunity to thank my lovely wife who endured some long days sitting back at camp sweating her backside off although I did lash out and buy her a pedestal fan to help keep her cool. What a guy! Take care all and we will be in touch soon.

Glad you are having fun
Hi, Great to see you are having a blast, you can keep the "Lizards" and the heat though. Stay safe and keep enjoying your trip. Love from Rodd & Coby

St. Deborah
Hi Woody and Deb, Great photos again. Fully agree with comments re Deb. She was a saint enduring those conditions while we fished. I keep reflecting on what a great experience it was with you both. I feel very lucky to have had such a great week. The memories of that hours fishing when we got 10 barra will stay with me forever. Many Thanks Rich

Hi guys, watching your trip with interest, looks like you're having a ball. Great to see, not that I'll ever see all those beautiful spots. Cheers, Clint H

Hi Guys just thought I would drop you a little line and say hello, and to tell you how much I am enjoying your trip. Some of the photo's that you have taken are awsome. Not much happening here, as you can imagine weather is starting to get quite chilly now, but in saying that today is going to be 23, but unfortunately it is the calm before the storm as they are predicting a wintery change in the next couple of days with Sunday only managing a mere 14, so I will be thinking of you both there in the warm. Will be having a FFG dinner at the Pike's on the 19th so perhaps we will log into your site and we can all have a little look together just where you are at the time. That fruit damper you made Debs, looks bloody good and I think when you get back that should be on the menu for MKR next time, what do you think? Well guys must go and do some work, you both look so well and I cannot wait to log in to check out your next adventure. Love to you both and to the Bud too. Terry - Chicken Lady
