Ray Megarry look alike Hi All
We come to you today from the lovely Mt Isa, an interesting place to say the least. We are here for a couple of nights to do some domestics, shopping etc. before heading to Karumba on the gulf for 10 days fishing with my brother. From the Banyan Farm ( Daly River ) we headed south east to King Ash Bay on the NT side of the gulf where we were joined by Richie Robin for a week of fishing fine wining and dining. We fished 5 of the 7 days in stinking hot conditions ( one morning 27 deg's at 6.00 am ) taking some lovely barra and thread fin salmon and had a memorable morning when we took 10 barra from the front of a small creek that soon became our favorite spot. Eight of the fish were taken on the one lure! See attached some photo's of a big croc who turned up 50 metres from that creek and kept us company for a little while. We tried our luck at mud crabbing but soon learnt that if you leave your pots in too long the croc's take full advantage. One pot was destroyed and the

The little boat has performed magnificently travelling 60 klm's round trip each day to the mouth of the Crooked Creek. As I mentioned it was terribly hot and i would like to take this opportunity to thank my lovely wife who endured some long days sitting back at camp sweating her backside off although I did lash out and buy her a pedestal fan to help keep her cool. What a guy! Take care all and we will be in touch soon.
