Giustino
This photo was taken on the road to Giustino looking up towards Massimeno. Well, it didn't stop snowing all day. In fact it snowed harder as the day went on and the hills and towns took on a very different look to yesterday. We are told that there hasn't been much of a winter here this year, so this is quite unexpected in April.
We decided to brave the roads and take a drive to Tione to enjoy the scenery. There was not much else to do, which suited us just fine for our last day in Massimeno.
Sue took some video on her iPhone while we were driving in the snow. You can view it here:
We stopped for a coffee and hot chocolate at a cosy cafe and did a little bit of shopping to finish off the afternoon.
Then it was off to the home of Dino and Franca for dinner. Their house overlooks the town of Massimeno and has a fantastic view of the valley and hills. Franca put on a lovely meal for us in true Trentino style - Polenta, spezzatini, piselli and krauti. Dino was at his best and entertained us for the evening. He even came up with a new name
Say what?
How can it be snowing? for Emily - "birichina" - which Damian thinks describes her perfectly.
By 9pm the ragazzi were getting tired and we still had a visit to do at Enrico's place. A careful walk down the snow covered road in the dark was required to get home safely. Then we went upstairs to visit Enrico, Monica, Concetta, Allessandro and Andreas where we enjoyed a coffee with grappa and some cake.
It's our last night in Massimeno tonight. The weather is meant to improve for our drive to Milano, which is the very last stop we have in Italy.

Viva belle France
Your exploits concerning Italie are interesting. I long however for you to describe my own beautiful countrie of France. There is no equal in lands. Your poetry and wit will then finally meet a match in quality of scenerie and vistas. Bon chance, Thiery.
