Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for my lovely birthday messages, it´s been really nice to hear from you all and to have your well wishes. 😊

Yesterday I slept in late as I was actually sleeping well and then I went for a walk around Ho Chi Minh City. I went to the war museum and the reunification palace. After wandering back through the market and the parks, I went to the hotel where my tour was starting, met my room mate and had the welcome meeting. After that I went out for dinner with some friends I had made the day before and then we went swimming in the pool of a five star hotel (We weren´t staying there but no one stopped us!!). I then went for some drinks and had a very noisy Happy Birthday sung at me in several accents. Embarassing but has to be done I guess!

Today I didn´t actually get up to much. My tour group and I took a minibus from Ho Chi Minh City to Chau Doc which took over 7 hours, including a stop for lunch and a ferry over the river. When we got here, we checked into our new hotel and then went on a boat trip on the river where we saw a floating village, met some locals and saw a spectacular sunset.

After dinner back at Chau Doc, I chatted to mum and dad on skype which was lovely and am now just about to head to bed. Night all! x

My wanderlust has been stirred!
Hi April Can't believe how much you're packing in, it all sounds amazing and very memorable. Do they run these tours for old people?! Looking forward to the next instalment. Love Sally x

Yes! My aunt and uncle did one and I know a friend's parents did too. You should book one, it's so much fun!
