This a purely sentimental picture. We had a little car like this in New Zealand. It was not a convertible, but was named "Emma". Peggy learned to drive in her.
Greetings again from Oxford. Jim, Louis and I took a nice long walk yesterday as the day was mainly sunny with some clouds. We went through the meadow again, crossed the Thames River and went to this tiny little village of Binsey. It's sole claim to fame, except for being so quaint, is their pub, The Perch. It was great to be able to get away from the city life so easily and just stroll along with the cows and sheep. Glenn & Nooni got home from their trip and had a great time. They said that these churches here couldn't compare with all the old, old churches in Venice. I told Jim that we could not go there, but you can tell he wants too.

This is the village of Binsey with the cows just grazing along the little road.

The cattle still are quite shaggy with their winter coats. A beautiful large farmhouse in the background.

This pub and a couple of boatyards were the only businesses in the village. Not even their own Post Office.

The cottages were very old, but kept up quite nicely.

The sheep were so nice and fat. They will probably shear them soon.

Jim liked the back part of this cottage. It felt like walking into an old English novel.

This picture is for Carol Baugus. We just happened to be there as the postman was delivering the mail.

The Thames River here is not too impressive. St Margaret's Church in the background.

We took this picture on the top of the walking bridge. St. Barnabus, the church near Glenn's, is in the background.

I liked this with the trees coming out and the canal boats on the edge. People live in some of these year-round. Most are for pleasure.

Louis doesn't like the swans and they just hiss at him. I think he'd run if they actually left the water and started after him.

This is the church closest to Glenn's. Almost every church has an accurate clock, so you can always know the time. The bells are a good hint also.

We are on the 3rd floor in the new B & B. Chrissy says she's up to the stairs, but we'll see toward the end of the week.

Louis was so excited to see Glenn and Nooni. He didn't know which one to lick first.
