Bird at Bees RV Resort
One of many birds visiting our RV parkWell, we are starting to wind down and pack up. Our winter vacation is over and we plan on hitting the road on Thursday weather permitting. As much as I LOVE travelling, I'm ready to go home. I REALLY miss my kids and grandkids!!
A few of the things we did this month.....visited with our friends Cory and Sandy and they took us out for lunch for Jim's birthday (thank you Cory & Sandy). We also visited with our friends Dwight & Valerie several times and had a great time! (thanks Dwight & Val).
I had never been to the Rainforest Cafe, so we went to visit 'Downtown Disney' which is loaded with Disney Shops and restaurants. On our way, we passed a business (couldn't tell you what it was, because we were across the busy street). I made Jim stop the car, so I could get a picture. The photo you see of cars on the roof are actual full size cars on the roof!!
We made it to the Rainforest Cafe and I took a 'million' pictures inside the cafe. We sat next to an Elephant that 'came to life' every 15 mins. or so and

These are actual FULL SIZE cars on the roof!! the murals and fishtanks were just wonderful. Needless to say a wonderful atmosphere. The food was good but at $16.00 for a burger and a few fries (cola not included) we probably won't go again , at least not just Jim & I (been there, done that).
There was a local BBQ cookoff/fair called 'Pig on the Pond'. We decided to check it out. It was smaller than we thought, a row or two of vendors, a small carnival for the kids and a live band, and I did get a great pulled pork sandwich. It is a benefit for the kids, so I am glad we went.
We happen to be here during 'Bike Week' in Daytona. Yes, of course, we went. LOTS of pictures attached.
Also, we went to Chipotle's Mexican Grill...been wanting to try it...there isn't one near home. We discovered we LOVE it!
Spring is definately in Florida and the wildflowers along the roadside are in full bloom. AND the Caladium is growing rapidly here (in March!!)!!
We hope to head Southwest next winter. Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico etc. Will let you know when we 'hit the road' again.

Love all the pics. You certainly have enjoyed your vacation time in Florida. Hope you make it to the Southwest next year. Be safe on the road on your way home!
