Not much happened since the last Blog entry...:-), but lets begin from the start. We stayed again some time in Taranaki, where we enjoyed playing golf with sheep in between…sometimes they also got shot..;-)..Stupid sheep! We did a lot of surfing in Taranaki, Nik convinced me this time to publish more surf pics, as i find them more or less all the same, but don't tell him! A new piece of electronic is now part of our stuff; nik bought the new gopro - hero2, which really takes fantastic pics, even under water. Was quite fun to film duckdives or kayaking in the surf. The Gopro was also a reason why we headed to the Coromandel Peninsula again, to do a short kayak trip to the Cathedral Cove. Although we have been there 2 months ago, it was more impressive to get there via kayak and we really were very lucky with the weather. Afterwards we spent again time in Raglan, sold our Kayak, did some yoga classes and bought a new board! This time not for me but for Nik, he sold his old one, the orange and took advantage of an extremely cheap offer. It’s a Sam Egon Resin 8 6’5’’, for those who know..., more important, its grey with a purple tail pad...:-). Nik really loves it, even more than me, sometimes...depends..;-). In between two swells we once headed to Omaha, where we did some snorkelling, which was unfortunately really murky, but still we saw some big fish. Nearby were some Caves which are supposed to have amounts of glow-worms, and yes, there were! It was funny, as it was pitch black, and we only had our mobile as a source of light. Sometimes the water in the Caves were hip high, so for me that, in combination with the bad light made a real adventure…:-). I really can’t remember what came next, but we travelled between piha, raglan, and whangamata the whole time, depending on the swell. One time in Raglan Nik got a big ding(cut) at his new board, he even didn’t notice in the water, but as soon as he got out he saw what happened and was really pissed. But a surf shop there did a pretty good work and repaired it, took almost a week, but it looks as new. And that was it so far…
