Max and I thought we should share photos of our car that we purchased in Nelson, NZ. We nicknamed our Ford Fairmount 'The Cruizz' because it was formally a New Zealand cop car (or cruiser). She has been treating us right, getting us to places that we probably wouldn't have been able to get to by hitch hiking. Also it gives us more time to tramp because we have a place to store our gear while we are away. New Zealanders seem to love The Cruizz, hopefully you will too.

The Last Leg
The Cruizz is hurting these days. Max and I are in Christchurch waiting to get the latest diagnosis on why the charging system is malfunctioning. The possible cause may be because of the leak in our transmission fluid pan, which has "eroded the alternator brushes." If that's the case we can have them replaced for cheap. We were offered $200 to sell the car to a wrecking garage. We think we will take it - the only problem is getting the car there...
