Koh Samui

We travelled to Koh Samui on Thursday, the ferry was much quicker barely seemed like we were on it any time at all! We spent the day on the beach, sun bathing, after all the activities on Koh Phangan it was good to just have a bit of time relaxing, not doing much, just soaking up the sun! I went for a little stroll up the beach to see what is around this was the first time I had any time by myself and it was nice and peaceful. Later we went for food, all the restuarants here seemed a lot more up market compared to what we have been used to in Thailand so far. We ended up at a pretty posh looking place - the kind where they put a napkin on your lap for you! I have an over-pruced pizza but it was sooo good so that dud help make up for it.

We relxed on the beach again on Friday, were being quite lazy here. We've spent so much money already that we can't afford day trips and too many activities again for a little while. I had a Thai massage this afternoon, it was quite the experiecne to say the least! The woman would be rubbing me nicely and then all of a sudden she would start hitting me! The first time this happened I almost laughed out loud. She pulled my body into quite some positions, it does fel good though and gives you a good stretch. The woman pushed down on my back and chest so hard that a few times I thought I was going to have the life crushed out of me. She pulled on each individual toe as if she was trying to make them longer, and pushed hard on my stomach, this left me feeling quite sick for a little while. Over all it was a pleasant yet testing experience, not like any massage back home and my sun burn also didn't do anything to aid the situation!!
