Hey all! Just a quick update on our last stop in Bali, in the very north of the island, Lovina! We have lots of lovely things to remeber from our stay. For a start are hotel was virtually deserted so we managed to blag a free upgrade into a deluxe suite, decorated with balinese flowers, fresh juice waiting for you and an open air bathroom, perfect for star gazing while showering...thats right this traveller lark isn't hard at all, I don't know hat people whinge about! The hotel also had a great pool which was just perfect for Kyle's olympic style 'dive-bombing' he really is getting good!

In contrast to Kuta, Lovina had very calm waters, perfect for snorkling and swimming! The place is renowned for its dolphins, so we set off very early, before sunrise in a long, thin boat and its skipper to try and catch a glimpse! We were very lucky and got to see big groups of dolphins all suddenly appearing out of the water and moving together across the ocean. As the sun stared to rise we saw some jumping out of the water and diving back in. It was fantastic to watch, with the beautiful back drop of Bali's palm trees and shoreline and we felt very lucky to have seen them. We did not however, see any sign of Flipper though I thought one looked suspiciously like him! The calm waters also allowed us to explore Lovina's pretty reef and we spent a morning out on a boat snorkling with the fish. It was great to see big, blue starfish and huge red snappers just inches from you!!

As Lovina was so quiet we just spent leisurely nights eating in restaurants very cheaply and watching the sun go down on Bali. Long discussions into the night of how lucky we were followed. The Bombs in Bali have been appaling for the islanders and they were extremely grateful for any tourists returning, it was very humbling to hear them. We both felt gutted to be leaving this part of our trip behind...its already past the half way mark!! However, our sadness was eased slightly by the 'DOUBLE DECKER' plane! I was so excited, what a start to the Oz adventures...

Looks amazing! If you would like Nick to help you with your surfing skills on your return I'm sure he would be happy to help - how does the brown sea at Cromer in November sound?? he's very envious of you being in the waves in Bali. I however am more envious of your bikini figure, more shots of you in a kaftan would be preferable to a post pregnancy lass. You will fit in well with the beautiful people on the beaches in Australia!
