This is our last entry for Britsih Columbia, but not really the end of the trip. I don't know what I prefered, Whistler, or the way to get there?

First the impressive Sea to Sky Highway... It's just around a two hours drive from the sea level of Vancouver to the mountain of Whistler. But on both way we took way longer than that to allow few stops on this impressive highway. The two main stops where for the Falls. Shannon Falls just before Squamish, and Brandywine Falls just before Whistler. But there is way more than the falls on the way. The vistas of the mountains, the snow, the sea and the forest...a pretty spectacular affair! It worth to go to Whistelr, just for the trip there!

In Whistler, thanks to reasonnable rates, we ended up at the Westin, and landed a pretty nice upgrade.
One more time, the upgrade came with a fully equiped kitchen. You will find out later on that it happened to us one more time on our trip...Westin=huge equiped kitchen=homestyle meal! With that equation in mind, we won't be able to comment on restaurants in Whistler, we didn't try any!

On my first late afternoon I headed to the Chateau Whistler Golf Course while the kids where heading to the swimming pool...Chateau Whistler is managed by Fairmont and the course has been designed by Trent Jones Jr. Ok, if you don't play proper golf, it will mean strictly nothing to you...but to put things in perspective, the guy is one of the great talent in golf architecure.....beautiful vistas, tough golf course, happy me, and many balls lost!

We did walk around Whistler Village. It's high season and the place was crowded. Don't really know if I fancy the place in summer time, but in the winter, this must be something! The next day we also went for some luge...really fun, but a little too short for our taste.

What we didn't do was the rafting. We are nearly in August and most rivers have dry up a lot...don't really want to pay a fortune just to do boring class II! And being with Tiffany, even if we would have found some fun Class III, she may not have been allowed on the trip...so no rafting!

As you can see I'm running late nearly two weeks on my blogging. Sorry, but with the recent ups and downs of the markets, I have other priorities at the end of the day...still happy to be able to enjoy so much great time with my little family...before opening my laptop for a serious level of stress every night!

I could comment on the markets, but I won't here...one thing for sure, in the near future, I'm happy not to live in Europe.

So coming soon, our next entry....in few very cool places!
